Our first meeting of the year!

Sept. 4, 2018. Today marks the beginning of Science in Action for the 2018-19 school year! We had our first meeting at Tap and Handle for a fun change of scene to talk about the upcoming year.

Politicians don't bite: How to talk to local officials

Come meet a panel of local government officials who have experience in the science realm, including our Mayor, Wade Troxell. Ask questions about how to approach politicians as well as learn how to talk with them about evidence-based decision making.

Monthly Jam Fest (aka our general meeting)

Get out of your bubble and talk about your research in a social setting, learn about issues happening at the local level, and hear about issues facing federal science policy. Join us for appetizers and a drink at Tap and Handle in October.
